Adrian Venditti joins PHD to lead CUB account

PHD has appointed Adrian Venditti as group business director to look after the agency’s Carlton & United Breweries account.

The $30m account moved from MediaCom last year, with PHD now tasked with media duties for AB InBev’s CUB brands including Victoria Bitter (VB), Pure Blonde, Strongbow Cider and Crown Larger.

Venditti started his role today

Venditti will lead the account in Australia, India and Vietnam from Melbourne and report to PHD Melbourne’s general manager Simon Lawson.

Lawson said: “I first worked with Adrian over 10 years ago and have always been impressed by his industry acumen and leadership qualities. I have always thought that he would be a strong fit for PHD’s challenger mentality and finally the right opportunity has arisen. Not only will he be an effective leader for CUB, we’re looking forward to having him join our Melbourne office’s leadership team as well.”

Venditti has 11 years experience in communications planning and was previously group agency director at Posterscope and business director at Vizeum.

The CUB account includes Corona, Carlton Draught and Melbourne Bitter

Venditti, who began his new role today, said he had always admired PHD.

“I have always viewed PHD as one of the smartest and most strategic agencies in Australia. When I heard the news that CUB had appointed PHD, it was the perfect opportunity for me to make the move and join a group of the most progressive thinkers in the industry. I look forward to the working with the team at PHD Melbourne and some of the industry’s most accomplished marketers to drive smart, results-driven, innovative media solutions for their brands.”
