Advanced Navigation via agency Doublestar launch tech-focused campaign

Advanced Navigation has sought to reflect its status as the market leader in artificial intelligence-powered navigation in its branding with a campaign from creative shop Doublestar.

Doublestar, which was launched by Jye Smith and Baptiste David in May, worked with the Advanced Navigation from end-to-end of the campaign process, devising concepts, art direction, 3D modelling and the final designs for the digital and print campaign.

The ads show Advanced Navigation’s navigation and robotics products in action, with 3D renders of tanks, submarines, drones and ships.

Head of marketing, Romain Pare, said: “We know that we are leading the industry when it comes to innovative navigation solutions and our marketing collateral must reflect this status. Doublestar created stunning visuals that not only differentiate the brand but convey more than words and technical specifications ever could.”

Doublestars remit on the project also included setting brand and design guidelines for Advanced Navigation’s collateral. The project is the first piece of major brand work for the agency since its launch.

The print execution

David, the director of art and design, spoke of the creative process that went into Advanced Navigation’s work.

“Being part of a niche industry, one of the main concerns for Advance Navigation was visual storytelling. We created a series of 3D renders and environments to match their four product offerings using moody dark tones and starlit sloes as the symbol of Advanced Navigation with an epic look and feel.

“We wanted the fresh creative to convey the complex detail of navigation systems, inertial sensors, acoustics, GNSS and robotics in a beautifully simple and arresting way that will create distinction and consideration in a typically conservative industry.”
