AFP enlists former The Saturday Paper editor Maddison Connaughton
Former editor of Schwartz Media’s The Saturday Paper, Maddison Connaughton has joined the Agence France-Presse (AFP) Sydney Bureau after finishing up at The Saturday Paper in June 2021.
The new role will see Connaughton report to AFP’s Sydney bureau, covering regional news from Australia and the Pacific.

Previously, Connaughton spent several years at Vice Media as deputy editor and then features editor, before taking on the role of editor at The Saturday Paper in July 2018. Since leaving the publication in June 2021 she has worked as a freelance journalist producing content for The Guardian Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald.
