“In January, Rob took a step back from his day-to-day management with BWM Dentsu for personal reasons. He continues to consult with the agency on brands such as Toyota and REA Group,” Williams said.

“With more than 30 years in the creative industry helping Jamie and me build the BWM Dentsu brand, Rob has one of the best minds in advertising and marketing. We are fortunate that he is still able to continue supporting the growth of our business by providing strategic counsel and advising key clients.”

Belgiovane, Williams and Jamie Mackay founded BWM in 1996. In 2006 the agency was acquired by Enero – then known as Photon Group – however, the trio bought Photon’s stake in the agency back in November 2012 for $7.5m.

Less than three years later, Dentsu Aegis Network acquired a 51% stake in the agency, leading to its name change to BWM Dentsu.

Since Belgiovane’s departure in January he has been working as a creative consultant.

Belgiovane has been contacted for comment.
