AGL, Lite N’ Easy and Hipages come on as major sponsors for The Block 2019

The newest sponsors for Nine’s renovations juggernaut The Block have been announced, with AGL, Lite N’ Easy and Hipages coming onboard to join existing sponsors McCafé, Suncorp, Mitre 10, Domain, A2 Milk, BlueScope Steel and Canstar.

The show, which is entering its 15th season, will return to screens on August 4 at 7pm.

Nine’s director of Powered, Liana Dubois, said brands are keen to work with a franchise that’s as well established as The Block.

“The Block is the epitome of the Great Australian Dream and remains one of the most prized pieces of Australian television real estate by brands,” said Dubois.

“The show delivers year after year for both brands and audiences because it is a brilliant combination of seamless integration of advertisers and inspiration for audiences.

“This year we are thrilled to welcome Hipages, AGL and Lite N’ Easy to the family and see Suncorp, McCafé, Mitre 10, Domain, A2 Milk, BlueScope Steel and Canstar returning for some of the most effective opportunities on Australian television. The Block is a format that delivers genuine incremental ROI.”

Online tradesperson directory Hipages will allow contestants to use its app to book tradies during the challenges, while AGL will have an in-show challenge. Lite N’ Easy will be providing food and last year’s contestant Jess will feature in Block-themed TVCs.

Lite N’ Easy will also sponsor a weekly content series which will feature the biggest Block moments of the week.

Eight partners also return to the show, with Mitre 10, The Block’s longest-serving partner, providing advice to contestants along the way, and Suncorp returning with a viewer competition and budget help for the contestants.
