AJF Partnership Sydney has appointed Daniel Fryer and Stuart Alexander as creative group heads to replace Alex Stainton and Jakub Szymanski who have departed the agency after nearly three years to take up associate creative director roles with BBDO San Francisco, Mumbrella can reveal.

Fryer and Alexander join the agency from JWT Sydney where they had been for nearly three years as a copywriter and senior art director respectively.

AJF creative director Adam Rose said: “Dan and Stu are a proven senior team, having teamed up more than eight years ago when at BMF, to more recently at JWT where their work has been recognised at Cannes, D&AD, One Show and very recently at this year’s Effies with their innovation driven Attention Powered Car for RAC. Add to that, they’re great guys.”

The agency has also appointed Tanya Hairman as a senior producer – broadcast/content after spending eight years at AMV BBDO in London and Adam Hutcheson as social content planner from iProspect and laterooms.com in the UK to help develop content plans across a variety of clients.

AJF managing director and founding partner Digby Richards said: “Hiring great people is not easy, and we’re delighted to have Dan, Stu, Tanya and Adam joining the team. As we continue to grow we’re also on the look out for another experienced creative team to further strengthen the agency.”

The appointment follows  AJF Partnership being named Effective Agency of the Year at the Effies and the agency picking up the StreamCo creative account and the Target creative account. The agency also recently picked up four global brands, including Nivea, Lindt Chocolates and Wattyl Paints, and five new staff members following the closure of the FCB Sydney office with the clients and staff transferred to AJF.

AJF Partnership’s clients include Officeworks, Campari Group, iSelect, Ergon Energy, RAMS Financial Services, University of Melbourne, Lion, GM Holden and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
