Akcelo builds data and martech strength with appointment of Anne Ngo

Akcelo has appointed Anne Ngo as martech and customer strategy director, in a move to build out its data strategy and martech practice.

Ngo has worked in a variety of specialist marketing roles focused on customer lifecycle and retention, digital marketing, martech and data.

She has held a number of roles in the financial sector including director of strategic partnerships and global network services at American Express and head of marketing at FlexiGroup.

Akcelo CEO, Aden Hepburn, said Ngo was a “significant addition to the team”.

“Helping clients transform their customer experience is central to our purpose, so I am delighted that we’ve been able to attract someone of Anne’s calibre and experience to Akcelo,” he said.

“She’s worked with leading brands in Australia and the US to build acquisition and retention programs at scale. She’s a significant addition to the team and will bring her considerable expertise to our growing client base.”

Akcelo launched in July and has built out a team of more than 40 staff. Its proposition is to ‘build brands for the experience era’, with a full service capability of data, customer relationship management, customer lifetime value, creative and digital.

The diversity of Akcelo’s clients and services is said to have appealed to Ngo.

“Key to building brand experiences is utilising data and marketing technology to deliver consistent and personalised communications to customers, together with creative that is right for the channel,” she said.

“Having had an extensive career in developing customer lifecycle strategy and digital marketing programs, I’m looking forward to bringing my skills to Akcelo and working with a range of diverse partner clients to help their brands grow.”

Akcelo’s clients include TikTok, Lion, Primo Foods, HCF, Australian Wool, Surf Stitch, VentureCrowd and Stockland.
