Alan Long leaves Hitwise for Online1984

Experian Hitwise Asia Pacific research director Alan Long has joined The Online Circle’s social media measurment arm Online1984 as general manager.

Based out of Melbourne, Long will be responsible for the  expansion of Online 1984, running sales, marketing and product development.

Working on clients such as Amcor and Kraft, Long is tasked with building the value of their social media data assets “to become meaningful and actionable knowledge,” he said.

Prior to Hitwise, Long was state director for Victoria, SA and WA at Sensis Digital Media (then Sensis MediaSmart). In the late nineties, he worked at  BMCMedia, managing the Olympics.com program and leading the technology innovation hub AdLab.
