Alchemy One has retained the media account for Square, following a competitive pitch.

The announcement:

Independent media agency Alchemy One has retained the Square media account following a closed competitive pitch.

Alchemy One has worked with Square for three years and during that time has been instrumental in delivering significant brand and business growth for Square within the Australian market. Under the continued agreement, Alchemy One will provide integrated media insights, strategy, planning, buying and data and analytics services to Square. In an increasingly competitive market, it was imperative that Alchemy’s One’s model reflected the needs of Square, ensuring a team of highly skilled senior talent who were committed to strategically positioning Square to deliver innovation, business and brand growth.

Square was founded in 2009 and helps businesses of all sizes with integrated, omnichannel commerce solutions, software and banking services.

Alchemy One managing director, Joel Trethowan, said: “Our partnership with Square has been an incredible journey to be a part of. We are so proud of Square’s continued growth and working with such a skilled team at Square has been an absolute pleasure. Our goal is to transform brands with radical media solutions and partner with clients with a shared vision to deliver unrivalled growth, and our work with Square is the perfect example of this. We are so thrilled to continue our partnership with the Square team to deliver even bigger things in 2023 and beyond.”

Square head of integrated marketing, Annalise Booker, said: “Alchemy One has been an integral media partner over the past three years, showing tangible attribution to Square’s awareness growth in Australia. We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with them in 2023.”

The retention of the Square account follows a successful year for the agency, including client wins of Vialto Partners, QuiteLike and Future Farm.

The Square appointment is effective immediately.
