BWM Dentsu MD Alex Carr and CMO Jess Tarpey both exit agency

BWM Denstu managing director, Alex Carr, has resigned from his role is set to leave the business in the coming weeks, Mumbrella can reveal.

Carr has spent the last four years at the agency, and was previously the managing director of Havas Worldwide.

A spokesperson for BWM Dentsu told Mumbrella: “After nearly four years, Alex Carr has decided to pursue a fresh professional challenge and has resigned from the role of managing director BWM Dentsu Sydney.

“Alex has been a tireless champion of BWM Dentsu’s commitment to creating unique brand experiences for our clients. We thank Alex for his years of leadership at BWM Dentsu Sydney, and wish him well in his next career move.”

Mumbrella has reached out to Carr for comment.

And BWM Dentsu’s chief marketing officer Jess Tarpey, has also departed the business after just under two-and-a-half years. Tarpey joined as director of people and culture and was promoted to CMO in January last year.

Tarpey has previously been a group account director at Havas Worldwide Sydney and head of new business at Havas London.

Recently, BWM Dentsu was appointed lead creative agency for Charles Sturt University. In May, the BWM Dentsu Group was also appointed to a consolidated marketing and communications account for Victorian electricity distribution networks, Citipower and Powercore.
