Alistair Bruyns departs Ogilvy to join APT Travel Group

Ogilvy Melbourne’s head of digital, Alistair Bruyns, has departed the agency after a year in the role.

Bruyns has since landed a new job at leisure, travel and tourism group, APT Travel Group as its digital customer experience manager.

The head of digital was appointed to the role in October last year “after a lengthy international search”.

During his time at Ogilvy, Bruyns was in charge of the digital practice for the agency, including social, creative, project management, programming and technology.

Earlier in the year, Bruyns and his team took home a Gold Lion for the AAMI Smartplates app, which targets learner drivers with an app that turns their phones into a digital logbook.

Before joining Ogilvy, Bruyns was the head of digital and operations at inVentic Health in Canada for almost four years.

Throughout his career he has also worked at Isobar, Y&R, Saatchu & Saatchi and MullenLowe.

Bruyns and Ogilvy have been approached for comment.
