Alternaleaf highlights patients in new storytelling platform

Alternaleaf has kicked off “a new storytelling initiative designed to spotlight the people behind its patient community” with a short film.

The announcement:

Alternaleaf, Australia’s largest telehealth clinic for alternative healthcare, has launched a short film that marks the beginning of a new storytelling initiative designed to spotlight the people behind its patient community.

The debut film profiles Anders, a 72-year-old artist, motorcycle technician and musician. Through striking cinematography and motion design, the 3-minute 47-second piece captures Anders’ creativity and eclectic interests, illustrating Alternaleaf’s supporting role in his day to day life.

“We are excited to share Anders’ story as the first of many,” said Claire Nelson, digital project manager at Alternaleaf. “Our aim is to celebrate the individuality of the people who make up our community and build authentic connections through storytelling.”

Samara Smith, patient community lead at Alternaleaf, added: “This project is about using storytelling to reveal the depth and individuality of our patients. By sharing authentic narratives, we hope to create connections that feel human, relatable and genuine.”

Captured by director of photography Alexander Given with motion graphics by Steve Terblanche, the film forms part of Alternaleaf’s broader content strategy to strengthen storytelling and engagement. A 3-minute 47-second brand cut will appear on the Alternaleaf website, with 30 and 15-second edits supporting paid and organic social campaigns. A suite of still images will also be shared across channels.

Additional films are planned to follow, creating a growing library of content that reflects the variety of experiences across Alternaleaf’s patient community.
