The announcement:

Award-winning telco, amaysim has today launched Australia’s first Textpert, an SMS tool offering advice for those with text message-related confusion.

amaysim’s Textpert campaign has launched as part of their Feel the love campaign, an initiative aimed at celebrating the telco’s Big Love for their 1.2 million customers, Australia-wide.

With misconstrued text messages contributing to one in three adult relationship breakdowns amaysim has brought in Psychologist and relationship expert, Sabina Read to help with the issue.

From today, Aussies can message ‘Textpert’ to 0400 167 167 with their tricky text situations and amaysim’s Textpert will be on hand to offer tips and tricks to dealing with the difficult situation.

Senior director sales & marketing and CMO at amaysim, Lisa Vitaris, says amaysim prides itself on its great relationship with its customers.

“We go above and beyond to show Big Love to our customers. We have the lowest TIO complaints in the industry (0.4/10K) and we believe this is a direct result of the great relationships we have with our customers.”

“At amaysim we take our relationships very seriously, we’re constantly thinking of new ways to keep the spark alive with our customers. With text message confusion contributing to one in three adult relationship breakdowns, sharing the Textpert tool seemed like a great way to extend the amaysim ethos and help our fellow Aussies with their relationship issues,” said Vitaris.

Whether it’s a potentially flirtatious text message from a crush, a veiled critique from roommates about the washing up, or a text from your boss long after office hours, amaysim’s Textpert will be on hand to decipher those nuanced notes and share some words of wisdom.

From 6pm Monday 5 September to 2pm Sunday 11 September, all Australians who are 18 and over can message ‘Textpert’ to 0400 167 167 to receive a response to their tricky text situations. Standard SMS charges will apply.

Textpert opening times:
