Amnesia for sale?

amnesia-razorfish-logoOne of Australia’s leading digital agencies may be about to change hands.

The Financial Times reports that Microsoft has appointed Morgan Stanley to sell its global digital agency Razorfish, which bought Australian agency Amnesia more than two years ago.

According to the report, Publicis Groupe is among the potential bidders. Publicis agencies already operating in Australia include Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis, Starcom MediaVest and Zenith Optimedia.

Amnesia Razorfish, which is more than ten years old, employs nearly 70 people. It has been the AdNews interactive agency of the year for the last three years:

Lee Sherman, Razorfish’s president for Asia Pacific, told Mumbrella: “I’m afraid I’m really not able to comment at all at the moment.”
