Amnesia Razorfish appoints Johnny Stark social media director

Digital agency Amnesia Razorfish has appointed head of social media at its UK division as director of social, content and optimisation.

The announcement:

Full-service digital agency Amnesia Razorfish has appointed social media specialist Jonny Stark as social media director.

Amnesia Razorfish managing director, Doug Chapman said: “Jonny has executed social campaigns at a global level, his experience and creativity in social will be of huge benefit for our clients.”

An early adopter of all things digital, Stark has made the move from Razorfish London. There he headed up the VivaKi Social Media Hub, spearheading efforts across the Publicis digital agencies.

Stark has spent the past seven years specialising in social, two of which were spent at Razorfish London, prior to that, Stark worked in journalism and public relations.

Highlights in Stark’s career include leading the social strategy on the award winning European launch of Sony’s Rolly and setting up Windows Phone ‘hubs’ for the UK’s top influencers to evangelise about the Windows Phone 7.

Stark has worked with global brands including Unilever, Emirates, McDonald’s, Gumtree and the BBC.

On joining Amnesia Razorfish, social media director, Jonny Stark said: “I’m excited to be leading all things social at Amnesia Razorfish and especially looking forward to working on some of Australia’s most loved brands.”

The appointment is effective immediately.
