AMR opens Brisbane office
AMR, the research company behind the twice yearly corporate reputation study, has opened for business in Queensland.
AMR’s Brisbane office will be run by Chris Pyra as general manager. Pyra joins from Pacific Brands, where he was insights manager, and will be based in the offices of fellow STW Group-owned agency, Junior.
Pyra, who also had a spell at Telstra, moves to Brisbane this week. He will report to Gary Wilkinson, MD of AMR Interactive.
Wilkinson told Mumbrella: “I don’t see any reason why we won’t see the same growth in Queensland as we’ve had in Melbourne, which has grown from one to seven people in a year. There are some major brands in Queensland and we’ve been having some interesting discussions.”
The news comes as AMR announces a number of new appointments in the Melbourne and Sydney offices.
The Melbourne office has welcomed Sam Wight as Senior Account
Manager. Previously at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, Wight has extensive experience on large quantitative projects including brand and advertising tracking, customer satisfaction, brand usage and attitudinal studies. His previous clients include some of the largest FMCG brands globally, plus companies within the media, financial services, education and not-for-profit sectors. In the Sydney office Georgina Sanderson has been appointed Senior Account Manager, Chia Pei Cheok as Account Manager, and Farrah Belamri as Assistant Account Manager within its the expanding team.
Sanderson joins AMR with more than three years experience in market research from global research agencies in Hong Kong. She previously worked with TNS Hong Kong and Nielsen Hong Kong for clients including HSBC, Pepsi, Unilever, Bacardi and FedEx. Chia, from Colmar Brunton, brings to the team experience in quantitative research, while Farrah will focus on analysis and reporting.
Wilkinson said the appointments had been made in response to current and long-term planning and as part of AMR’s mission to drive client success with the best people, products and processes.
AMR begins the field work for the next phase of its corporate reputation survey in October with a view to releasing the date by Christmas.
Nice to see companies investing in Brisbane. It often gets forgotten, sadly.
