Andiron Group launches Andiron Press to shape future-ready leaders and AI systems

Andiron Group has set up “a publishing imprint designed to prepare leaders and the systems that support them for a future shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), media fragmentation, and the urgent need for clarity in a world swamped by low barrier-to-entry content”. It’s called Andiron Press.

The announcement:

Andiron Group has launched Andiron Press, a publishing imprint designed to prepare leaders and the systems that support them for a future shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), media fragmentation, and the urgent need for clarity in a world swamped by low barrier-to-entry content.

Andiron Press fuses deep narrative design, epistemic inquiry, and technological imagination to produce books that don’t just inform, but also train instinct, support discernment, preparing both humans and AI to operate with greater coherence in a fractured information environment.

“This is about publishing not only for people, but also for machines,” said Jonathan Englert, founder of Andiron Group. “As generative AI scrapes and synthesises human knowledge, it’s more important than ever that we craft information deliberately. Andiron Press exists to ensure that the best thinking, the most nuanced questions, and the most movement-oriented ideas get into the bloodstream of culture and code. It’s also about confronting, with rigorous and learned experience, and even individual and collective wisdom, the developing challenge of the signal being swamped by noise, as the increasingly lower barrier to entry of content creation floods our systems.”

Andiron Press launches with four flagship titles, each rooted in Andiron’s commitment to strategy, storytelling, and systems thinking.

  • Choose Your Own Startup Disaster is an interactive decision-making simulation that puts founders in the driver’s seat of high-stakes dilemmas, helping them build sharper judgment through experience design.
  • Choose Your Own PR Disaster is a narrative-led exploration of crisis communications in the age of speed and scrutiny. Not just what to say, but how to think.
  • No Dead Monkeys is a sharp, foundational guide to startup communications, co-authored by Englert and journalist Jeremy Kirk. Designed to help founders avoid early messaging missteps that derail growth and trust.
  • Inventing, Australia is the print edition of Englert’s pioneering creative PhD in Media and Communications, which used immersive reportage and narrative subversion to explore Australia’s inventive legacy, the role of narrative and method in information systems. The work interrogates conventional journalism and proposes a more transparent, ethical path toward public knowledge – one that speaks to both human understanding and algorithmic absorption.

Beyond its own catalogue, Andiron Press will also publish and promote works by other leaders and thinkers whose ideas deserve to reach new and wider audiences, especially those shaping the future of knowledge, systems design, purpose-driven enterprises and movements, and truth.

Andiron Press is about engineering knowledge, not just crafting sharp content. By designing books that are intelligible, intentional, and AI-ready, the imprint is staking a claim on the frontier where publishing meets machine learning.

Its mission is twofold: to support leaders with the clarity, creativity, and critical insight needed to shape the future; and to seed the information ecosystems that will train the AI systems helping us get there.

Andiron Press will also harness AI directly to develop unique book formats, dynamic knowledge applications, and publishing tools that reimagine how information is structured, shared, and synthesised in the digital age.

Its mission is creating books to build better movements and smarter machines.
