Another marketer out at Foxtel as chief of brand marketing, Arianna Saita, resigns
The exits keep coming in Foxtel’s marketing department. Just days after seven more names joined the list of marketers who have left the business, Foxtel’s chief of brand marketing, Arianna Saita, has resigned following 10 months with the company.
Saita joined Foxtel in May 2019 from Sky Germany. She was promoted into the group director of marketing role in June after John Casey exited after less than three months with the subscription TV business. Months later she was in the role in a permanent capacity.
A note sent to staff by chief marketing and sales officer, Kieren Cooney, said Saita’s exit followed a recent period of leave for personal reasons.
Saita is returning to Europe to explore professional opportunities there and Cooney wished her “every success for the future”.
Saita’s exit follows that of head of brand marketing: brand content and products Olivia Nixon; director of growth marketing Jesse Stephens; head of marketing for Fox Sports Chris Pocock; head of brand marketing Irena Kelava; general manager of Foxtel agency Felix Amy Alder; marketing director of insights and media Polly Blenkinship; and director of loyalty Lisa Johnstone.
In October 2019 the marketing and sales departments were restructured, resulting in a dozen redundancies across both divisions, including chief revenue officer of retail, Marco Miranda.
Cooney joined Foxtel in 2018 from REA Group. He was previously CEO of Interbrand Australia.
They want to show us what they can get cheaply rather than what we want to watch. Sky UK is as left as you can get, so I guess it’s cheap. Just about ready to cash them in, after 20+ years.
