ANZ Olympic Committees and Warner Bros. Discovery launch Olympic-themed Looney Tunes merch

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products is working with New Zealand’s Olympic Committee and Australia’s Olympic Committee to release Olympic Team x Looney Tunes merchandise.

Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) to launch exclusive Olympic Team x Looney Tunes merchandise. Available to shop in-store and online now, both collections feature limited-edition apparel for the entire family, plus plush toys at BIG W in Australia, and stationery at The Warehouse in New Zealand. Each range capturing the fun and energy of the beloved Looney Tunes characters as they celebrate the spirit of the Olympic Games.

These vibrant collections hero your favorite Looney Tunes characters – Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and more – decked out in Olympic gear. From stylish, sporty apparel to cuddly, collectible plush toys and team proud stationery, these products capture the spirit of the Olympic Games with a playful twist. The collection is designed to ignite the excitement of fans of all ages, celebrating themes of teamwork, camaraderie, and athleticism.

This collaboration is part of a wider licensing agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which includes a global consumer products program featuring Looney Tunes characters. Announced on March 18, 2023, this program will roll out internationally through to 2026, with Warner Bros. Discovery’s iconic characters taking starring roles on Olympic-themed products from premier licensees.

WBDGCP has partnered with eight National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from eight countries, including the United States of America, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, and Mexico, to create country-specific Olympic Team X Looney Tunes merchandise. Additionally, Paralympic Team X Looney Tunes merchandise will be available for the United States and Brazil.

The Looney Tunes have a long association with sports, including a past product collection featuring Team USA that debuted during the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta. 1996 also introduced fans to the beloved “Space Jam” in which the Tune Squad were cemented as sports icons and paved the way for 2021’s “Space Jam: A New Legacy.”

Warner Bros. Discovery is the Home of the Olympic Games in Europe and the only place to watch every moment of Paris 2024.
