APG debuts new committee members at Comms Council panel

The Account Planning Group (APG), will debut their new committee members at next Tuesday’s “Unexpected Media Thinking” during the Ideas Exchange panel debate.

The announcement:

Committee representatives sitting on the panel include: Katie Rigg Smith (CEO, Mindshare), Sophie Price (Head of Planning, The Hallway), and Mel Mullins (Strategy Director, UM). Simon Lee (Creative Partner, The Hallway) will also join the list, with APG Chairman, Russ Mitchinson, taking the role of moderator.

Delivering a holistic overview of how planners can work to achieve the best creative and effective results for clients, this session will explore the hotly debated topic of collaboration – everything from remuneration models, media insights and relationships with channels (including Google and Facebook), to hybrid planning and the strengths of different models and collaboration processes.

Russ Mitchinson said: “The APG is committed celebrating and uncovering unexpected thinking for brands and businesses; bringing together a diverse range of minds and experience in an event like this is an inspirational way of tackling current business challenges. This event is particularly exciting, as a debut for our new committee members.”

The APG committee now includes representation from media agencies, with four members also from Melbourne. Russ continues: “The new look committee reflects how the group’s identity and make-up has evolved; now representing greater diversity and
experience across the marketing communications industry.”
