APN Outdoor retains Adelaide metro contract

APN Outdoor has retained the advertising rights for Adelaide Metro.

The new contract covers more than 900 buses, 24 trams, and 136 train cars across the city and CBD.

APN Outdoor has worked with Adelaide Metro since 2005

APN Outdoor first won the Adelaide Metro contract in 2005, which gave it advertising coverage across metropolitan Adelaide and the City, including depots such as Morphettville, Mile End, Port Adelaide and Glengowrie.

Outgoing APN Outdoor chief executive, Richard Herring said the company realised the importance of the continued relationship with the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure in Adelaide.

“We are pleased to have been awarded the Adelaide Metro contract and look forward to working with them yet again whilst continuing to showcase this great product to our advertising clients,” Herring said.

The news comes a week after APN announced it had secured an additional five-year contract with Sydney Buses.

It also follows on from Herring’s announcement he would retire at the end of September.

Also last week, APN lost its Canberra Airport contract to QMS.
