Applications will close for media and marketing comedy gala Pitch2Punchline on March 10.

The announcement:

PITCH2PUNCHLINE APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON MARCH 10th

Applications for Pitch2Punchline, the world’s only (and best) marketing and media industry comedy challenge close on March 10th. If you want to join these prospective Stand Out Stand Ups and crack up a peer for charity, get your application form in pronto.

Pitch2Punchline hopeful Jamie Crick, Head of Distribution and Analysis for Sydney-based creative agency Emotive is eager to punch out the gags to hundreds of industry peers.

“What better way to find out how I’d go on stage than giving it a crack in front of a (presumably) supportive crowd?” said Crick.

Thomas Grainger, Social and Content Account Lead from Branding, Design and CX agency The Works, is equally eager to give his funny bone a tickle.

“There’s no better way to enter the world of stand up than diving head first into it as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival. I can’t wait to laugh at myself, and hopefully have you cackling too!” said Grainger.

Anastassia Choutova, Account Coordinator at media agency PHD knows how she’ll balance the nerves.

“It’s hard to make one person laugh let alone a room full of people. But I know I’ll have the best chance with the support of the Pitch2Punchline crew. Plus, there’s got to be a bar there, right?” says Choutova.

For those taking notes. Yes. Yes there is.

Pitch2Punchline mentor and all-round hilarious fella Cam Knight says “I can’t wait for you to hit the stage at The Comedy Store and smash out the one-liners. I’ve got no idea what any of you actually do, but you’re going to crush it at Pitch2Punchline! We’ll make sure of it.”

If you want to join the frivolity, hassle your head of HR, cajole your CEO and visit www.pitch2punchline.com before March 10. Anyone from any role in any marketing, media or creative entity can apply. Get your form in and you could be performing alongside pro comedians on 14 th May at The Comedy Store as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival. No joke.

Pitch2Punchline supports youth anxiety and depression charity batyr and is proud to be part of the industry group Mentally-Healthy.org, tackling the mental health issues of the media, marketing and creative industries.
