April5 wins Nokia business

Nokia has appointed independent marketing agency April5 to handle its trade events.   

The announcement:

April5, an independent and specialised multi-service marketing agency has been appointed to Nokia’s agency roster to handle trade events across the business, including conferences, product launches and retail events.

April5 recently won the title of Nokia’s preferred agency for trade events in a competitive pitch against six event agencies. The team at April5 will be responsible for national and local trade events, from strategy to creative through to execution.

John McCredie, Nokia’s head of marketing, said he is thrilled to have April5 join Nokia’s agency roster: “We recognise the importance of communicating relevant and timely information to our key stakeholders and targeted trade events are a perfect way for us to achieve this. April5 delivered an outstanding presentation during the pitch and we felt they were deserving winners of the business.

“April5 CEO Alicia Beachley and her team also have a wealth of experience working with our brand and a firm understanding of our business having worked previously with Nokia. From day one, April5 has added value and has delivered exceptional results,” he said.

April5’s appointment by Nokia is sure to keep the team busy, adding to its current client portfolio including Nokia, Braun, Pilot Pens, Getty Images and Hausmann Communications.
