ARIA Charts: Sabrina Carpenter #1 and #2; lots of strong album debuts

Sabrina Carpenter has the top two singles in the country this week, with her new tune Please Please Please jumping from #4, where it debuted last week, to land at #1 – leapfrogging her previous single, Espresso, which has remained at #2.

Shaboozey’s A Bar Song (Tipsy) holds its #3 place, while last week’s #1, Eminem’s Houdini falls to #4 after two weeks at the top.

Dasha from Austin moves from #14 to #10, while the highest new release is Luke Combs, down at #38 with The Man He Sees In Me.

Over on the Albums chart, the aforementioned Luke Combs has debuted at #3 with his Fathers & Sons album, while Fred again… landed one place lower with his album, USB, debuting at #4.

The top two places stayed the same: Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft at #1, and Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department at #2, now in its ninth week in the chart.

New World Depression by $uicideboy$ also debuted well, landing at #6 first week in, as did Australian legends The Dirty Three, whose ninth album Love Changes Everything debuted at #12.

In fact, there’s even more top twenty debuts this week: Hockey Dad’s Rebuild Retreat at #15, and Don Toliver’s Hardstone Psycho one spot lower, at #16.

Good to see the charts swishing around a bit.
