ARIA Charts: Taylor Swift has the six highest-selling albums in Australia

Good news, everyone! Mumbrella will now be publishing the ARIA Top 50 Singles and Albums charts each Friday afternoon, along with a snappy little chart analysis, so you can be sure to enter your weekend armed with the correct knowledge of which chart toppers you should be dancing to in the discotheques.

ARIA ALBUMS CHART

Taylor Swift spent a fair chunk of the week in Australia, and now she is occupying a fair chunk of the ARIA Top 10 Albums chart, taking the six top places, plus #8 to boot.

This is the second week in a row she’s taken 70% of the top 10 – however, as can be seen on the Singles chart, this will start to slide down the charts as she tours others regions.

The only Top 20 enter is #19 Swing Fever by Rod Stewart and Jools Holland, marking Rod’s 32nd top 20 album — according to ARIA — while Jools hasn’t troubled the charts since Cool For Cats in 1979.

ARIA SINGLES CHART

Taylor also hold her rein over the Singles chart, with Cruel Summer staying at #1, and Anti-Hero and Lover sitting at #9 and #10 respectively. She has 16 of the Top 50 entries.

SZA has highest debut with Saturn landing at #8, while Natasha Bedingfield’s Unwritten has jumped to #20, two decades after it was first released.

Speaking of retro re-entries, Murder On The Dancefloor is still spinning away at #22.
