ARN’s chief digital strategy officer to depart

ARN’s chief digital strategy officer Venessa Hunt will be leaving the business in June, after nearly three years in the role.

Hunt joined the radio network in September 2022, after working in leadership roles across Think Premium Digital and GroupM.

She announced her departure on Linkedin, writing: “As I wrap up over the next few weeks, I’ve also been reflecting on the bigger picture.

“I’ve spent the past two decades leading media organisations through moments of inflection. Through commercial shifts, digital transformation and cultural change. It’s work I care about deeply, and I’m proud of the teams and outcomes I’ve helped shape.”

Hunt is one of many departures at ARN of late, as the company works towards trimming $40 million in costs over the next three years in its Australian operations.

ARN recently moved long-standing chief content officer Duncan Campbell into a consultancy role, while CCO Peter Whitehead departed the company in March, after eight years.

ARN has further cut headcount in its finance, media services, and technology departments, which will be moved offshore.
