Arctic Blast releases poster
The film, directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith and produced by Gina Black and Stefan Wodoslawsky, was shot in Tasmania last year.
It is Screen Tasmania’s first feature film; the project is an Australian/Canadian co-production with investment from the state agency.
Set in Hobart, Arctic Blast tells the story of a mega ice fog caused by a rift in the Ozone layer that creates deadly flash freezing. Starring Michael Shanks, lead actor in the hit US Sci-fi series Stargate – SG1, as Jack, a maverick US meteorologist who along with his small team of researchers are the only people that can save the world from destruction.
The film is currently in post-production and will be released later this year.
It’s Arctic, not Artic.
thanks for pointing out the typo. It’s been fixed.
Just a suggestion, but you might want to re-phrase the heading. 🙂
Arctic Blast didn’t release the poster – Imagination Worldwide Inc released the poster for “Arctic Blast”. (It went up on their website late last year – big version of the poster is available here: http://www.imagination-llc.com.....st/big.jpg )
🙂
Does anyone know when this movie will be released in Australia? I haven’t been able to find any information other than it will be released on May 30.
Last time we asked the producer, he said it wouldn’t be until at least October.
I see it’s premiering in Sydney 4th August at the Canadian Film Festival. When is it coming to Tassie?
Ya when is coming to Tasmania
I had a split sec part as an extra in the film and cant wait to see it!
Any news on this movie coming out? I haven’t heard a peep.
I saw it listed on the in flight movies when returning from the USA on Qantas, in mid January. Being a big fan of BT-S I made it top of my to watch list.
It was fun.
