Atlas Weekly dishes out meal kit for dog owners and their pups with ilume

Australian meal kit company Atlas Weekly has partnered with pet-health company ilume to launch the “hybrid” meal kit for dog owners and their pets.

The announcement:

Today, Australian-born meal kit company Atlas Weekly appears to be barking mad. Revealing it has teamed up with new pet-health company ilume, to launch the Australia’s first ever “hybrid” meal kit. Made specifically for dog owners and their much-loved fur babies.

Designed for International Dog Day (Friday 26 August), the delivered-to-your-door “Dine with your dog” box, will include all the ingredients and instructions necessary, to create a 3-course dinner experience at home.

Atlas Weekly will have the human meals covered. With a seared beef salad for entree, a succulent chicken parmigiana for main, and a decadent chocolate dessert (made by dessert queen, Christy Tania of GLACE Dessert).

Unsurprisingly, ilume will take care of the pups. By delivering an impressive spin-off of each Atlas Weekly meal: a beef jerky salad with homemade beef broth (entree), a puppy parmigiana (main) and a carob-based (equally as decadent) dessert.

Award-winning chef and founder of Atlas Weekly, Charlie Carrington, says: “Over the past three years I have unintentionally joined the ‘over the top, dog parent’ club. I treat my two Cavoodles like I would my (future) children. Which is why I genuinely became an ilume customer after seeing their human-like dog food, and recognising the similarities in values we share.

“Our premium offerings have a natural synergy and clear love for real, wholesome food. Which has made the “Dine with your dog” box a dream to bring to life.”

Melbourne entrepreneur and co-founder of ilume, Craig Silbery says: “It’s no secret our pets are an essential member of our families, and are deserving of a place at our tables.

“We’re excited to partner with Charlie and the wider Atlas Weekly team. And encourage everyone to treat themselves, and their dogs this International Dog Day.”
