Atomic 212° celebrates 2023 successes with epic Blue Mountains event

Media company Atomic 212° celebrated 2023 with an offsite event in the Blue Mountains for its Darwin, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne staff.

The announcement:

Australia’s biggest and fastest-growing independent media agency, Atomic 212°, has celebrated its success in 2023 by taking its entire staff from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin on a three-day offsite in the NSW Blue Mountains.

The event, called Atomic 212° Out Of Office, capped a big year for the agency, with a string of account wins and retentions, and the addition of new staff around the country. It also co-incided with the agency’s 15th anniversary.

In September this year, the latest Media Agency New Business Barometer report from COMvergence ranked Atomic 212° at #1 among independent agencies in the first half of 2023 in terms of new business wins.

With 145 staff in attendance, the Atomic 212° Out Of Office included workshops facilitated by leading training and development company Culture Hero, plus two evenings focused on the agency’s people, culture and work: a Ranch Retreat BBQ and an evening inspired by Burning Man principles.

Atomic 212° chairman, Barry O’Brien OAM, said: “Atomic 212° Out Of Office was a fantastic three-day event and a great way to gather all our staff from every corner of Australia to thank them for 2023 and to look forward.

“The event wasn’t just about account wins and retentions for us; it was a celebration of the great people who make our agency a success day in, day out. We are only as good as our people, our valued clients and our media partners, and I’d like to thank all of them for their support in 2023.”

Atomic 212° national chief executive officer, Claire Fenner, said: “Atomic 212° has a unique positioning and focus. We live and breathe creating faster, smarter, accountable media that produces outstanding results for our clients.

“We’re going from strength to strength as a business thanks to the talent, passion and professionalism of our people – and our clients – so thank you all.”

Atomic 212° national managing director, Rory Heffernan, said: “Atomic 212° Out Of Office was the first time we’ve taken all our staff away from the office for an offsite. It was an incredible three days of work, fun, sharing ideas, planning and celebrating our most important asset: our people. We’re all looking forward to the next one!”

The Atomic 212° Out Of Office event followed a big year of client wins for Atomic 212° including Entain, Craveable Brands, BMW New Zealand, My Muscle Chef, Victoria University, Ponant, Growth Faculty, Sydney Water and Maclean Financial.

The agency also maintained its 100% client retention strike rate, retaining Bupa, BMW Australia, the Northern Territory Government, Tourism Northern Territory and Lendlease.

Atomic 212° has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin.
