Atomic 212 promotes Angus Bower to Sydney’s head of SEO

Atomic 212 has promoted Angus Bower as head of SEO for its Sydney office.

Bower joined Atomic in 2018 as SEO director, and, in his new role, will work closely with the independent agency’s GM of media technology, Tom Sheppard.

Bower has been with the agency for over a year

Chair Barry O’Brien said Bower’s promotion signals how important he is to the Atomic team.

“Angus is crucial to the team at Atomic 212° and I’m thrilled he has agreed to take on this important role,” O’Brien said.

“Angus has a real passion for combining creativity with data to develop big-impact ideas for our clients. His experience across startups and industries including finance, travel, hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods and education means he brings unique skills, insights and creative thinking to our business.”

Before joining Atomic 212, Bower was SEO content and digital PR manager at marketing agency Indago Digital.

“It’s electric working with my clients and the team around me,” Bower said of the promotion.

“I’m really excited to be where I am, doing what I’m doing.”

Last month, Atomic won the Greater Bank account and appointed Damien O’Brien as general manager of its Darwin operations. The agency is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against its former CEO, Jason Dooris, who allegedly falsely claimed Atomic 212 is involved in fraud, kickbacks and bribery.
