Bunnings partners with designers and influencers for Make It Yours content series

Bunnings has launched an online content series that will show viewers how to complete small-scale, cosmetic renovations on a low budget.

The ‘Make it Yours’ series has partnered with 13 design and lifestyle personalities including The Block’s Dale Vine, House Rules’ Tim and Mat, wellness blogger Keira Rumble, organisation influencer Steph Pase,  and interior stylist Geneva Vanderzeil.

Each week will see a room of a simple suburban house made over by one of the personalities.

The series has been inspired by the trend towards small density living and long-term renting amongst young people, that prevents them from taking part in traditional DIY projects. According to Bunnings, its website received 200 million views last year, with most coming from its ‘How To’ videos and guides.

Keith Murray, general manager of Bunnings, explained: “Our focus is on creating value for our customers throughout their life, building meaningful relationships over the long-term so we can respond to their changing needs.

“We know that younger Australians see DIY differently, having less aptitude towards traditional DIY and are turning to interior design trends and easy cosmetic updates to freshen up their homes.

“Make It Yours will deliver DIY in a new format, showcasing how easy DIY can be on a modest budget and inspire the next generation of DIYers to create the home of their dreams, whether they are home-owners, long-term renters or personalising their space within the family home.”

‘How To’ videos will accompany the episodes on Bunnings’ website, enabling viewers to find out how to pull off some of the renovation fixes at home.

Nine episodes of the series will be released.
