Atomic 212° promotes internally for general manager, Sydney

Indie media agency, Atomic 212°, has promoted Ashleigh Carter to general manager, Sydney.

First joining the agency in 2014 as a media manager, Carter has spent the past decade working her way up the agency’s ladder, having filled media director, group account director, and, most recently, head of client service, Sydney roles.

Prior to her stint at Atomic 212°, Carter spent just over two years at MediaCom Australia.

“Ash has been a key member of our team for the past decade and her leadership and dedication has played an enormous role in our journey to date,” commented Rory Heffernan, the agency’s national managing director.

“Ash has continuously delivered great results for our clients, our team and our business, and it’s a real pleasure to see her take on this important new role. I’m looking forward to working with her to take our Sydney agency to even greater heights.

“Congratulations Ash on this well-deserved promotion.”

When asked about her promotion, Carter expressed her excitement at the career development, saying that she is “inspired more than ever” with the chance to build upon the agency’s “recent momentum” in the last year.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to expand my remit within Atomic 212° and support the continued growth and success of our people, our product and our clients’ business results,” Carter said.

“I am inspired more than ever about our opportunity as the smarter, faster, more accountable media agency and look forward to building on the recent momentum over the next 12 months.”

The news of Carter’s new role comes roughly three weeks after the agency secured the media account of automotive brand, Great Wall Motor (GWM) – a business win that is expected to take effect in December 2024. In early September, the company also secured the media account of BlueScope Australia.
