Audience platform VOZ begins daily testing for 2021 launch

A new era of TV audience measurement in Australia is fast approaching,  with testing on the new Virtual Australia  or ‘VOZ’ database now underway.

Broadcasters, and third party software suppliers assisting to build the analysis tools will this week begin receiving daily VOZ test data.

“This is a milestone in the three-year VOZ development program that will allow broadcasters and TPSS to start familiarising themselves with daily VOZ test data as it is produced to see how it integrates with their systems, processes and workflows,” said a spokesperson from Oztam.

The feedback received from the test phase will inform subsequent iterations of VOZ as Oztam, Regional TAM and Nielsen work towards the official market release in 2021.

The VOZ test data is for testing purposes only and can not be used for analysis, publication, decision-making or trading.

VOZ brings together broadcast viewing across metropolitan and regional free-to-air and subscription broadcasters’, TV and online (BVOD) services on TV and connected devices such as smart TVs, desktop/laptop computers, tablets and smartphones, to provide all-screen, cross-platform planning and reporting for Australia’s television industry.

Participating BVOD broadcasters include: ABC, Foxtel, Network 10, Nine Network, SBS and the Seven Network.
