Audioland returns in 2020 with former creative director of commercial audio at Bauer Media UK, Sam Crowther

Mumbrella Audioland is returning for its second year in May 2020 and will feature the former creative director of commercial audio at Bauer Media UK, Sam Crowther.

After nearly four years at Bauer Media UK, Crowther is now the executive creative director at A Million Ads, a marketing and advertising ad-tech start-up specialising in personalised, digital audio campaigns.

Crowther will present a session titled ‘The Power of Personalisation From a Psychology Perspective’

Drawing on his experience overseeing Kiss FM UK, Bauer’s international radio stations and TV channels 4Music and Box TV, Crowther will unpack the power of personalisation and the role audio plays in the human psyche.

Throughout his session, Crowther will discuss how audio and personalisation can help advertisers and brands with retention, emotion and sentiment.

Plus he will reveal how audio can psychologically condition people’s thoughts, influence emotional memory, impact behaviour, and the tools to make people actively listen.

Crowther will share insights into how contextually and personally relevant communication can have an affect on influencing emotional memory, behaviour and brand selection.

The audience will learn how their ability to subconsciously filter information and prioritise what deserves their conscious attention was refined well before the battle for attention everyone experiences in the modern digital world.

Throughout his career, Crowther has also worked at Global Radio UK as its head of creative development, consultancy Noisy By Nature and he has also been the creative director at Sonic Branding.

With the first session already announced, the call for submissions are now open. Submissions can be made via the website.

Now in its second year, Mumbrella Audioland will take place on May 5, 2020 at the Four Season Hotel in Sydney. Earlybird tickets are on sale now.
