Aussies on every panel for Middle East ad awards

dubai-lynxThere will be Australian representation on all four juries of Middle Eastern advertising competition the Dubai Lynx Awards, it was revealed tonight.

Rob Galluzzo, managing director of Radical Media, is to sit on the TV, print, outdoor and radio jury. As previously announced, BMF’s Dylan Taylor is president of the direct, sales promotion and interactive jury, and Chris Nolan, COO of Starcom Mediavest Australia is on the media jury. Galluzzo, Taylor and Galluzzo will also all sit on the integrated jury.

The Dubai Lynx -which is run by the cannes Lions organisers – is in its third year.

The launch of the event followed a volatile period for advertising awards in the Middle East many of which suffered from persistent complaints of partisan voting by local jurors. Then Dubai-based Campaign Middle East magazine organise a short-lived awards event. But the magazine was suddenly closed down on the eve of its second awards event and the event was called off without the results ever being announced.

The Dubai Lynx includes no Middle East based represenatives on any of its juries. The event takes place in March.
