Australia launches voice casting app

Sound studio GASinc has launched Talent Please, a voiceover casting app for the iPhone that allows casting directors and producers to find voice talent and recording facilities using their mobile phone.

“It’s ensuring that  our talent gets exposed to more work, worldwide,” said marketing manager Jana Wilkes.

“[The app] gives the industry immediate access to up-to-date demos and the ability to find studios,” said managing director Rodney Lowe.

Voice artists and recording studios apply to subscribe to the service, and users can then search by location, age, gender and apply over 40 different voice styles.

“Creative teams, producers and studios can search for voices straight from their phone. They can play their choice to the client helping to speed the approval process. Anyone can simply click directly to the agent and book voice,” explained Wilkes.

The free lite version will launch this week, and a full version with emailable preview links and additional functionality will be released in the coming months.
