The Australian recruits new general manager, marketing and new deputy general manger, sales

Alice BradburyThe Australian has announced two new appointments with Alice Bradbury set to join the division as general manager, marketing and Vaughan Cottie named as the division’s deputy general manager sales.

Bradbury will assume marketing responsibility for Business Spectator, reporting to chief executive of The Australian, Nicholas Gray.

She was most recently head of brand marketing, communications and design at BT Financial Group.

Bradbury said in a statement: “The Australian is one of the country’s most influential news and information brands. It has experienced phenomenal audience growth over the past few years thanks to its agenda-setting journalism. I’m looking forward to joining the team and capitalising on the brand’s potential as it enters its 50th year.”

Bradbury will begin work on December 16.

Vaughan Cottie joins the division after 11 years with Fairfax Media where his responsibilities spanned The Australian Financial Review in print and online, AFR magazine, BOSS, BRW and Smart Investor.

Cottier will report to the general manager of sales The Australia, Rachel Savio when he joins the company in the new year.

Cottier said of his in a statement: “Over the years, The Australian has continued to innovate and grow its product and audience. I’m excited to be joining the team as it enters its next phase of growth.”
