Australia: world’s 8th largest ad market
Australia is expected to hold its rank as the world’s eighth largest advertising market by 2013, although its position is under threat from Canada and fast-growing Russia. The report was released by Zenith Optimedia today.
Globally, ad spend is forecast to increase by 3.6% in 2011 after a slight slowdown towards the end of the year. Global growth of 5.3% is expected in 2012, ‘assuming the world economy does not deteriorate dramatically’.
Wow that is weird.
Italy has a population of 60 million
Canada has 33 million
Australia has about 22 million…
And yet we have a bigger ad market than Canada and italy – very surprising
