AdNews sister title Australian Creative resigns from CAB audit

Australian Creative coverAustralian Creative, the sister publication of Ad News, has resigned from the Circulation Audit Board in the latest round of distribution figures.

The title published by the Yaffa Publishing Group is one of four magazines to resign its membership as well as four community newspapers and one foreign language newspaper. A spokesman for the Audited Media Association of Australia, that runs the audit, said the number of withdrawals was not unusual.

Australian Creative published six times a year and had a circulation of 3,491 in the last CAB audit in March, according to the Yaffa publishing website.

It has a cover price of $6.50 and a core target audience of creative industry professionals in advertising agencies, design, photography, illustration and production.

A spokesperson for Yaffa Publishing Group declined to comment on why it has withdrawn from the CAB audit.

Other magazines who have pulled out of the CAB audit include Australian Forests and Timber News, Business Resource and Lifestyle, and MIMS.

A total of four community newspapers have resigned their membership, specialty publication Fifty Plus News and community language newspaper Future, written in Arabic, have also resigned their membership.

The CAB recognises distrbution, rather than sales, of print publications. Mumbrella’s sister title Encore is no longer included in the distribution figures as the CAB has not yet adopted a digital standard.
