Australian Gourmet Traveller and Harvey Norman partner for the Gourmet Institute

Australian Gourmet Traveller in conjunction with Harvey Norman has announced the return of Gourmet Institute, an in-store masterclass program.

Australian Gourmet Traveller in conjunction with Harvey Norman today announced the return of Gourmet Institute, one of Australia’s most exclusive in-store masterclass programs.

Now in its seventh year, Gourmet Institute brings together some of Australia’s biggest culinary stars across eight exclusive cooking demonstrations at Harvey Norman stores in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Anthea Loucas, editor of AustralianGourmet Traveller, said of the partnership: “Gourmet Institute is a fantastic example of how we can leverage the Gourmet Traveller brand to produce a stand-out experiential campaign for a client.

“We have worked closely with Harvey Norman on the program for the past seven years and the calibre of chefs involved has never been stronger. Whether it’s Shannon Bennett in Melbourne or Peter Gilmore in Sydney, each event provides Harvey Norman’s customers with a unique food experience with some of the best in the business.”

The line-up for 2014 includes some of Australia’s most notable chefs including Vue de Monde’s Shannon Bennett, Quay’s Peter Gilmore, Guillaume’s Guillaume Brahimi, Four in Hand’s Colin Fassnidge, Mr Wong’s Dan Hong, Marque’s Mark Best, Cutler and Co.’s Andrew McConnell and Noosa Beach House’s Peter Kuruvita.

The first Gourmet Institute masterclass, featuring Quay’s Peter Gilmore, commences this Wednesday, May 14th at Harvey Norman’s Alexandria store in Sydney.
