The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) today confirmed that they have appointed Elite Sports Properties (ESP) as their Public Relations and Communications agency for 2011/12.
The Public Relations Division of renowned sports marketing agency, ESP, was appointed following a competitive process that saw more than a dozen agencies pitch for the role.
The new agreement will see ESP commence work immediately, providing public relations and media support services in the lead up to and during both the 2011 IVECO Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the 2012 Formula 1™ Australian Grand Prix.
General Manager of Marketing and Communications at the Grand Prix, Amanda Chase, said they are excited to partner with ESP and to work year-round with them in promoting both world class events.
“Throughout the pitch process, ESP demonstrated an excellent understanding of our brief, as well as fantastic creativity and a great awareness of the Australian media landscape,” she said.
“They have a proven track record of executing PR campaigns for major sporting and entertainment events.”
James Ward, General Manager, PR, ESP said the team is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work on two of Australia’s largest international sporting events.
“There are obvious synergies between ESP and the AGPC and together we are planning to launch a number of exciting new initiatives,” he said.
