Australian Men’s Cricket Team features in latest Alinta Energy ad
Bastion Creative, formerly Bastion Banjo, has released a new campaign with Alinta Energy featuring members of the Australian Men’s Cricket Team.
The campaign also marks the launch of Alinta Energy’s new positioning ‘That’s better’.
In the 30-second spot, The Australian Men’s Cricket Team come up with the idea of gifting a smart house to every customer, which they then proceed to visit. The voice activation system then proceeds to not do things as requested, such as turning on the fireplace and sprinklers. The spot ends with an Alinta Energy saying that they can simply offer great savings instead.
Alinta Energy executive director retail markets Amanda Hagan said: “I think this is a great position because we believe everything we do should be aimed at making things better for our customers, our staff, the environment and Australia. ‘That’s better’ is an attitude that our whole organisation can embrace to benefit our customers.
“And we’ve got plenty of great news and improvements to share, from the continued growth of our onshore call centres to some massive investments in renewables.”
Bastion executive creative director Georgia Arnott added: “’That’s better’ encapsulates Alinta Energy’s quest to keep shaking up the category as both the incumbent gas retailer on Australia’s west coast, and a challenger electricity and gas brand in the east.”
The campaign launched on 25 November and will run throughout summer across TV, digital and print.
Alinta Energy has been a sponsor of the male cricket team since May 2018.
