Australian Property Institute launches online property news publication

Australian Property Institute has launched a new online property news publication.

The announcement:

The Australian Property Institute (API) has transitioned its Australian and New Zealand Property Journal (ANZPJ) to an online news publication, with the digital platform set to deliver comprehensive coverage of the real estate and finance sectors.

First published in 1981 under the Australian Property News masthead, the publication was rebranded to the Australia and New Zealand Property Journal in 2008, with the magazine released as a quarterly print publication for members.

As the leading membership organisation for property professionals, API saw an opportunity to benefit industry professionals and the wider public by creating a news website with a wide-reaching focus on the sector – reflecting the skilled professionals unique to the API.

ANZPJ (propj.com.au) will focus on all the major property sectors including retail, industrial, commercial, residential, planning, legal, rural and investment trusts.

Following the launch of ANZPJ, API will release the Voice of the Valuer podcast, which will explore industry trend, provide specific industry advice and share interviews with key property figures.

Award-winning journalist and editor Matthew Dunn is leading editorial for the news website, bringing a decade of experience across digital, print and broadcast media from senior roles at News Corp and Nine.

Quotes attributable to API chief executive Amelia Hodge

“API is representing a wide range of property professionals’ interests by making ANZPJ a publicly available online news platform, with the website also acting as a credible news source for members of the public looking to stay informed on different property markets in Australia.”
