Australian short wins at Berlin

Franswa SharlHannah Hilliard’s short Franswa Sharl has won the Crystal Bear Award for Best Short Film at Berlin.

The film tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who reinvents himself as a French girl during a family holiday in Fiji.

Franswa Sharl was funded by Screen Australia and screened in Berlin’s Generation KPlus section – a program targeting audiences four years and over.

The film was produced by Room Four Film Pty Ltd, written by Greg Logan and Hanna Hilliard, and produced by Linda Micsko.
