AWW deptuy editor Juliet Rieden promoted to editor

The Australian Women’s Weekly has named deputy editor Juliet Rieden as editor.

Rieden, who joined AWW as deputy editor in January 2010, has been acting editor-in-chief of the magazine since the departure of Helen McCabe in January.

Kim Doherty (nee Wilson) was appointed as McCabe’s replacement in February and starts at the magazine on Monday.

Commenting on her promotion, Rieden said: “The Weekly is a unique publication, unparalleled internationally, and it has been an honour to work on the title for the past six-and-a-half years.

“I am thrilled to take on the role of editor and look forward to working together with Kim to continue to bring great stories to the readers and evolve this iconic brand.”

The Australian Women’s Weekly has a circulation of 400,810.
