Australia’s Got Talent bows out on top
Last night’s victory in Australia’s Got Talent by dance act Justice Crew pulled in a 1.9m audience for Seven in an evening that saw Nine squeezed below a 20% audience share.
The finale of the talent show helped Seven to a 30.5% share for the night, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.
However, the pendulum should swing back towards Nine tonight with Game 2 of State Of Origin.
Meanwhile, relatively few – 547,000 – tuned in for neighbour New Zealand’s unexpected World Cup draw with Slovakia on SBS, despite it kicking off at a relatively early 9.30pm AEST.

Congratulations to Channel 7 for the opening sequence of Australia’s Got Talent.
The best sequence I have seen on Aussie TV for years. So simple, so entertaining. Maybe the producer of the Logie Awards on the nine network can have a look at it and see how it’s done.
Congratulations 7, Excellent television.

What only 547,000 Aussies watched the All Whites?
But the SMH says it was Australasia’s triumph. And anyway, there has to be at least that many Kiwis living in Bondi.
