Political reporter Lachlan Kennedy departs Ten after 15 years

Senior reporter and political editor Lachlan Kennedy will be leaving the Ten network after 15 years.

Kennedy is currently Ten’s State Political Editor for NSW, as well as a frequent presenter on 10 News in Sydney.

He has worked at the network across numerous roles since 2010, including breakfast news presenter, Ten Eyewitness News Queensland anchor, US correspondent, and local government reporter.

Prior to this, he worked as chief of staff at WIN Canberra, and produced news bulletins for Southern Cross Austereo’s regional stations across Central Australia and Southern NSW.

Mumbrella understands that Kennedy left his on-air role in order to take a media advisor role in the Minns Government.

A Network 10 spokesperson said: “After 15 years with 10 News, Lachlan has decided to take his career in a new direction, and we wish him every success in his next chapter.”

Mumbrella has reached out to Kennedy for comment.
