The Bachelor’s meet the parents episode wins the night
The Bachelor’s home-town visits episode last night, in which Richie met the parents of the remaining four contestants, attracted 818,000 metro viewers at 7:30pm , slightly down on last week’s 857,000.
It was the most-watched non-news program of the evening and was also the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
The Bachelor easily out-rated Nine’s RBT, which attracted 641,000 in the same timeslot, while Seven’s AFL match, which saw the West Coast take on the Western Bulldogs, was watched by 676,000 viewers in Melbourne and Adelaide from 7:00pm.
Seven won the night with an audience share of 24.3% while Ten just managed to claim second place with a share of 16.4%. Nine nipped at their heels with a share of 16.3%. The ABC settled for a share of 9.6%.
Ten’s Gogglebox, which aired at 9:00pm, attracted a metro audience of 570,000.
Meanwhile on the ABC, 7.30 grabbed 605,000 metro viewers and The Checkout, which kicked off at 8:00pm, pulled in 598,000.
In the news battleground, Seven News at 6:00pm was watched by 954,000, slipping to 906,000 from 6:30pm while Nine News at 6:00pm pulled in 910,000, sliding to 909,000 from 6:30pm.
That Richie has taken The Bachelor to the top of the ratings should be hailed as a victory for all afflicted with micropenis!

2UE – OMG – Strongly agree with most of above comments.
The best show on 2ue is George & Paul, fast paced , entertaining, but still able to touch on current political hot spots, with well thought out views, whether “left” or “right” (boring) , add to the “democratic” debate. Love it! Also I would put Mike Jeffries in the same category. Big loss for 2ue if he goes.
