Bad night for Ten with 11.9% share

Network Ten had one of the lowest audience shares of the year to date with just 11.9% of free to air viewers tuning in to its primary channel on Tuesday night.

In part this was because of the simulcast coverage of the Commonwealth Games on the network’s digital sports channel One which had a 4.4% share.

Ten’s early primetime coverage of the games averaged 428,000 while its late primetime segment averaged 459,000.

The games concludes tomorrow night, when Ten will also debut its new reality series Keeping Up With The Joneses, which features family life on an NT cattle station.

The night was dominated by Seven, with Packed To The Rafters delivering 1.765m, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
