Bang PR poaches Porter Novelli boss Annalise Brown to be MD as founder exits

Annalise Brown Bang PR has poached Porter Novelli boss Annalise Brown after the departure of its founder Narelle Craig, who left at the start of the year.

The move sees Brown join the M&C Saatchi owned PR agency, whose clients include Universal Sony, Vivid Festival, Luna Park, and V8 Supercars, after two years as Porter Novelli’s managing partner and managing director.

When contacted today Porter Novelli said it was “in the market” for a new agency head with its Australia CEO Peter Kent saying: “Change will benefit every client of Porter Novelli Australia, helping us really leverage the best of both our Melbourne and Sydney businesses with greater collaboration, strong leadership and best-in-class work in both markets – and on a national basis.”

In a statement on the hiring M&C Saatchi CEO Jaimes Leggett said: “Annalise is the perfect person to both lead Bang and amplify our clients’ brands across the M&C Saatchi Group.

“Her record as a business leader is second to none. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”

In her time at Porter Novelli, Brown sat on the Clemenger BBDO Sydney management team and helped steer the social offering for both agencies.

Bang PR launched 10 years ago before being bought by M&C Saatchi in February 2012.

Brown said: “This is an exciting time for our business and indeed our industry. I’m looking forward to growing the opportunities within the agency and collaborating with the broader group to identify new ones.”

Prior to joining Porter Novelli Brown was previously managing director at first Spin then Splendid Communications.
